C&I Graduate Programs
The PhD prepares aspiring university-based faculty to conduct rigorous research, prepare future teachers, and educate other professionals within the field of education. The program is residential and requires 71 semester hours of coursework and the successful completion and defense of a dissertation.
The MAT offers initial teacher certification through coursework and clinical experiences in either Elementary Education (EC–6 general certification) or Middle/Secondary Education (content-specific certification options). The program is residential, 36 semester hours, and includes faculty-guided clinical experiences in a variety of teaching fields.
The MA & MSEd are designed for educators to advance their understanding of curriculum, practice, and pedagogy to improve student outcomes. The MSEd is 36 semester hours with a comprehensive exam, and the MA is 33 hours with a thesis. Both programs include required hours in a specialization area.
The joint degree with Truett Seminary combines the expert faculties and resources of two schools. It's perfect for those seeking careers in congregations, private schools, or other roles at the intersection of faith and education. The program is residential, 33-36 semester hours in education plus MDiv requirements.
