Admissions Process
Students who plan to apply to the Accelerated Degree Program must complete an interview with the Graduate Program Director prior to applying to Accelerated Degree Program.
Please note: The GRE is not required for the Accelerated Program.
Key Dates:
- March 15 of Sophomore Year: Contact Graduate Program Director in Curriculum & Instruction for application link.
- Feb. 1 of Senior Year: Apply to Baylor Graduate School
Admissions Timeline
Sophomore Year - Apply for Admission to the Accelerated Program
Interested students should send an email to the Graduate Program Director by March 15 of their sophomore year to receive a link to an online form. Interested applicants must submit the following:
- Two academic letters of reference
- At least one letter of reference must be from a professor in the student’s major degree program. Instructions for requesting letters will be included in the online form.
- Personal statement
- Submit your personal statement in the online form
- Unofficial transcript (Must have a 3.0 GPA)
Official Acceptance is conditional upon admission to the School of Education and successful applicants will begin their graduate coursework the following fall semester (junior year).
Senior Year - Apply for Admission to the Graduate School
Students in the Accelerated Degree Program apply for formal admission to the Graduate School by Feb. 1 of their senior year.
Graduate Application Submissions Requirements:
- Online application to Graduate School
- Two professional letters of reference
- Letters of reference should come from an individual who can speak to the student’s professional potential. The individual may have supervised the student clinical teaching or served as an advisor to a student organization in which the student served in a leadership position. References will receive an email with instructions for uploading the letter of recommendation.
