The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is a residential program offering initial teacher certification in the State of Texas. 

State of Texas Certification

Elementary Education

Early Childhood through Grade 6 general education certification.

Middle Grades Education

Grade 4 through Grade 8 with content-specific certification.

Educator Preparation Programs

The Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) in the School of Education handles the TEA educator certification process for all Baylor University students.
