Lisa Edwards

Lisa Edwards serves as Office Manager for the Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the School of Education, working closely with faculty, administrative staff, and students to provide essential support that advances Baylor University’s mission. She reports to the department chair, Dr. Trena Wilkerson, and assists with a broad range of administrative tasks. Her responsibilities include monitoring the department budget and faculty travel, assisting with hiring procedures for new faculty and part-time lecturers, and supervising and hiring student workers. She also collaborates closely with the School of Education budget office to provide supplies for the department, faculty grants, events, and summer camps.
Ms. Edwards has been a dedicated member of the Baylor staff since May 1999. Prior to moving to the Curriculum & Instruction Department in 2000, she was an administrative assistant in Baylor’s combined Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Gerontology, and Social Work. Ms. Edwards was honored as a Baylor University Outstanding Staff Member in 2017.
Outside of her professional role, Ms. Edwards enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and especially her three grandchildren. She feels blessed to work alongside colleagues in the School of Education who have become like family to her.
